Why commUNITY matters
Life is hard. Very hard at times. And sometimes it leaves us questioning what we are supposed to do next. Sometimes we wonder if anyone else is going through what we are. Would someone else even understand? But here’s the good news! We’re in this together. It will get better. My friend, community matters….
I started this commUNITY because I love connecting with others. Did you notice the emphasis on the word unity? It is my sincere hope that sisters from all walks of life will be able to gather here and share together. Let’s engage in conversation with one another. Let’s talk about what matters.Wherever you are in life, my prayer is that you will be inspired. You will be encouraged. You will be supported. There will be other sisters cheering you on in your successes and encouraging you in your challenges.
I will tell you now that I am pretty transparent. There is something special about when people engage in genuine heartfelt conversation — seeking to be heard, understand and learn from one another. I love authenticity in people and it’s what I give to each person in my life. As I share from my heart on this blog, I hope that what you read encourages you. I pray that it compels you to move forward. In my quest to live life well, I have found that there are many twists and turns and some of these, I can’t prepare for. For Type A girls like me, WHOA — that is hard. I’m a planner. I like to have everything neatly color coded on my phone so that I know exactly what’s happening and when. But you know what? My earnest desire to live my life well, to run this race with excellence isn’t up to me. It’s not something that I can do in my own strength or ability. But it is possible. How do I live life well? It all begins with Jesus….
I love Jesus. Deeply….with all that I am. My hope and faith rest entirely in my Savior. He is the One that sustains me in difficult times. He is the One who breathes life into me when I may feel overwhelmed from the day’s events. He is the One who carries me when I feel I can’t take another step. Above all, my sincerest hope is that I bring Him glory in this life I live. Sisters, as we journey together on this blog, I hope that as we get to know one another, you get to know Him (if you don’t already.)
I’m so glad that you are here. Ready to take a look around? Grab your favorite coffee mug. Let’s go…..
